QTC’s aim is to provide top class theological training that faithfully applies the Word of God to the real world. We seek to do this as a real living Christian community, and as part of a wider Christian fellowship here in Brisbane.
Word-controlled, community-focussed and totally practical: that's the QTC ideal.
QTC is the training college of the Presbyterian Church of Queensland, and as such, its theological stance is given by the Presbyterian Church of Australia's official standard, the Westminster Confession of Faith.
Theologically speaking, QTC is strongly committed to a Reformed Evangelical or Reformed Protestant position, and we believe that this should direct every aspect of our life and work as a community.

Where has QTC come from? We’ve been training people to proclaim Christ in Queensland and beyond for well over a century, having existed in one form or another since 1876.
QTC is an affiliated college of the Australian College of Theology (ACT). The ACT is a self-accrediting national higher education provider. It operates as a consortium of independent affiliated colleges, and is the largest and oldest such grouping of theological colleges in Australia.
